Patrick Murphy - Executive Vice President of Marketing |

Mr. Murphy has spent the past 25 years launching and growing leading-edge technology companies. When not building technology-based startups or creating new business applications, he has been providing strategic sales and marketing consulting to some of the world’s largest technology firms, including Microsoft, AT&T, Intel, Qwest, and others. From 2005 - 2009 he served as a Principal at Lawrence Associates LLC, a full-service consulting firm specializing in developing strategic marketing and sales models for global companies. Prior to that he served six years as a Board Member and Managing Partner of NetMinds Consulting, Inc., a Seattle-based business consulting and virtual incubator group he co-founded in 1999 with Microsoft alumni Jitin Agarwal and Bella Acharya. At both NetMinds and Lawrence Associates, Mr. Murphy served in various interim c-level executive and business development roles for several early stage client companies. Prior to NetMinds Consulting, Mr. Murphy spent 16 years working with several technology companies in the healthcare, hospitality, gaming, education, business management applications, and telecom sectors.

Director of North American Affiliates for AEI Music, the leader in customized commercial foreground music and video marketing.

Vice President of Sales & Business Development for N2H2, an early leader in Internet content management and Web search. Mr. Murphy managed the growth of that company’s staff from 25 to 250, and was part of a management team that saw annualized revenues increase from $2 million to $12 million over a 24-month period, positioning the company for completing two capital rounds totaling $15 million and a successful $65 million IPO in July of 1999.

Mr. Murphy has extensive experience in creating marketing strategies, and building sales teams and reseller channels for startups. He has established strategic partnerships with many large companies such as British Telecom, AT&T, Novell, Inktomi, and Qwest. Mr. Murphy has held Advisory Board positions for various technology companies, and has served with several educational and non-profit organizations.
Mr. Murphy received his B.S in Agricultural Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance from Washington State University, where he also taught a Strategic Business Management course. He is a long-time member of the National Board of Advisors and previously served on the Entrepreneurial Studies Program Advisory Board for his alma mater’s College of Business.
