Becky McEachran – Executive Vice President of Finance

Ms. McEachran joined The University Funds in January 2009, bringing to the company a diverse array of financial accounting, reporting and technical accounting (GAAP) knowledge, as well as strategic financial analysis and forecasting expertise. Most recently, Ms. McEachran was the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at Talyst, Inc., a Bellevue, Washington venture-backed startup company, and the leading provider of pharmacy automation software. In her three years of experience in early-stage enterprise accounting at Talyst, her accomplishments consisted of:

Application of accounting-based research and complex financial analysis to facilitate financial modeling/forecasting, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash management.
Interpretation and presentation of definitive data for use in setting and realizing financial goals and objectives.
Design, preparation and execution of routine financial reporting, pro-forma and ad hoc sensitivity analyses based on company strategic planning and executive decisions for internal management, strategic partners and the Board of Directors.
Formulation of new internal scalable analytical reports and processes to improve financial information.
Leading cross-functional teams to properly capture costing, sales metrics, profit center reporting, SG&A cost management, overhead analysis and allocations and cost of capital.
Oversight of adherence to technical accounting practices, and applying research skills and expertise in the application of technical accounting (GAAP) rules.
Management of all equity transactions and cap table reporting, including complex share-based compensation accounting and reporting requirements.
Private placement of $20 Million in May 2008.

Ms. McEachran’s five-year public accounting career began at Arthur Andersen LLP, before joining Deloitte and Touche LLP in 2002. She left public accounting in 2004 to become the Accounting Manager at Lakeside Industries, a mid-sized local asphalt construction company located in Issaquah, WA, before accepting her position at Talyst in 2006.

Ms. McEachran is a native of the Seattle area and graduated from the University of Washington, earning a B.A. in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration.
